Who we serve

Owners, executives, and families with a real stake in the outcome.

The practice is built for three kinds of clients. The work is advisory and compliance, matched to the decision in front of you.

  1. 01

    Business owners

From start-up to sale, across Plano, Dallas, and beyond. CFO services, tax planning and compliance, retirement planning, estate planning, and a financial systems assessment.

  2. 02

    Corporate executives

Compensation gets complicated when stock, deferrals, and a buyout show up in the same year. We help with the tax on executive compensation, stock incentives, deferred compensation, and equity buyouts — plus retirement and estate planning.

  3. 03

    Wealthy individuals

A nest egg to grow and protect, and a tax bill that should be the fair share — including AMT, NIIT, and QBI, the reach of the estate tax, and a code that keeps moving. Tax planning and compliance, retirement planning, and estate planning.

Our approach

Advisory first. The return follows the plan.

We are a tax and accounting advisory firm, and advisory means we do not wait for year-end to have the conversation. Strategy comes before compliance. The best advice comes from people who already know the situation.

Forward-thinking

We anticipate the tax-law change, the milestone, and the shift in your goals, and we say so before it is urgent.

Approachable

Straight answers, plain language, and advisors who are easy to talk to when the decision feels heavy.

Conscientious

Every recommendation is grounded in what is right for you. The trust you place here is the point of the work.

Income to Equity™

How far the business can go when you are not in every decision.

Jeff Beckley works primarily with companies between $2 million and $25 million in revenue, helping owners turn the company into an enterprise with transferable value. The sequence below is how that engagement actually moves.

Owner in the work Value that can transfer
  1. 01

    The Beckley Standard

Organization, clarity, and the tax position — the baseline before ongoing advice starts.

  2. 02

    Strategy before compliance

The filing is real work. It follows a plan aimed past the return itself.

  3. 03

    Clearer visibility

AI and automation — TaxDome, Planner CS, QuickBooks Online, BlueJ — surface the numbers sooner. Advisors still make the call.

  4. 04

    Income to Equity™

Annual planning and the tax position, aimed at a transition on your terms. Leadership that can decide without the founder in the room, and operations another capable person can run, are part of that build.

What we do

The life of the company, and the life outside it.

Full-spectrum accounting, tax, and advisory for businesses from the first entity election through a sale — and the personal planning that sits beside it.

Business

  1. Business start-up

Entity choice, accounting systems, and IRS and state compliance so you can run the company.

  2. Business growth

Cash-flow analysis, fractional CFO support, and numbers you can use quarter to quarter.

  3. Operations, maintenance, compliance

Books kept current and tax rules watched, so the company stays in good standing.

  4. Sale and succession

A plan for taxes, ownership transfer, and the legacy you intend to keep.

Individuals

  1. Retirement planning and strategies

Contributions, timing, and the tax shape of the retirement you actually want.

  2. Estate planning

Guidance, with your estate attorney, on trusts, gifts, and the tax side of a transfer.

  3. Tax planning and compliance

Year-round planning for variable income, estimates, multi-state questions, and the return itself.

We also advise on acquisitions, multi-state compliance, and outsourced CFO or controller support when a full-time hire is more than the company needs.

A second set of eyes

Bring the return, the books, or the offer already on the table.

If you already have a CPA, a controller, or a stack of prior-year files, start with a conversation. We look at the entity, the compensation, the estimates, and the plan behind the filing, then tell you what we see.

If another firm already keeps the books or files the return, this is a second reading of that work. We will tell you what we would keep and what we would change. Scope and cost are part of the first meeting.

Owners planning a sale, executives with equity compensation, and families comparing a return to the life they are actually living all use the same front door.

Questions

Before the first conversation.

What credentials does the team hold?

Jeff Beckley, co-founder and President, has been a Texas CPA since 1993. Judith A. Kristan, CPA, MBA, is Director of Tax Services. Two accountants on the team are progressing toward the CPA certification.

How do we share documents and plan ahead?

Client collaboration runs through TaxDome — secure documents, forms, and messages in one place. Multi-year tax scenarios are modeled in UltraTax Planner CS. BlueJ Tax supports research and comparisons; advisors review the work before it becomes a recommendation.

How do fees work?

Fees are discussed in the first meeting, once we understand the situation. That conversation covers how the firm works, the clients we serve best, and the cost of the work, so you can decide with a clear picture.

Do you work only with Dallas–Fort Worth clients?

Our office is in Plano. We serve clients across Dallas, Frisco, North Texas, and nationwide through secure virtual tools. Judith Kristan is setting up and managing our newest location in Cornelius, North Carolina, near Charlotte.

Can you help if I am selling or buying a business?

Yes. We advise on the tax side of a sale or acquisition, including how the transaction is structured, and on succession plans that move ownership while attending to tax, family wealth, and the legacy of the company. Owners who do not need a full-time CFO can also use outsourced financial leadership — cash flow, budgets, and the numbers behind a decision.

Does automation mean less personal service?

It does not. Automation handles repetitive, data-heavy tasks so the advisors can spend more time on strategy. You still meet with your advisor. The tools we use include TaxDome, QuickBooks Online, Planner CS, UltraTax CS, PandaDoc, Uncat, and BlueJ Tax.
